I provide comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for children, adolescents, and young adults. Areas of assessment include ADHD, learning disabilities, giftedness, Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental concerns, and social-emotional or mental health concerns.

No. You may self-refer for psychological assessment. Referrals may also be made by a family physician, pediatrician, school, or other professional.

Yes. Virtual appointments are available when clinically appropriate. Certain assessments require in-person testing, and the format will depend on the type of assessment and the individual's needs.

A typical psychoeducational assessment includes an initial consultation, cognitive and academic testing, behavioural and emotional rating scales, relevant interviews, report writing, and a feedback meeting. The assessment process is tailored to each individual's needs.

The fee for a typical psychoeducational assessment is approximately $3,200 and includes the initial interview, testing sessions, report writing, and feedback meeting. Fees may vary depending on the nature and complexity of the assessment.

Psychological services are not covered by MSP. However, many extended health insurance plans provide coverage for psychological services and assessments. Coverage varies between plans, so we recommend contacting your insurance provider before your appointment to confirm your coverage, requirements, and reimbursement limits.

Direct billing to insurance providers is not currently available. An official receipt will be provided for services and can be submitted to your insurance provider. If your family has extended health insurance, once you have paid in full, we can provide a split invoice for you to submit to the insurance company for reimbursement.

Psychological services are exempt from GST and may qualify as a medical expense for income tax purposes.

Please provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Missed appointments or cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a fee.

When parents share legal custody, consent requirements may apply to both parents. If parents are separated or divorced, please provide any relevant court orders or agreements regarding decision-making responsibility. If you have questions about consent, please contact the office before scheduling an assessment.

As a healthcare provider, masks are no longer required in the office in accordance with current British Columbia health guidance. Clients and staff are welcome to wear a mask based on their personal preference, and we are happy to accommodate individual preferences whenever possible.
